I believe it to be 1997 but can anyone confirm please?

Total cost came in at £96 £45 on the frame and £41 on a few odds and ends i didn't have kicking around. Built in 2 days and tommorrow it's due at Cannock monkey Trail. Nothing like leaving it to the last minute.

Comes in at 14kg but there's some significant weight to be lost by fitting a smaller saddle changing the forks which cost just £1 and are as new fitted but never used by the last owner.

FSA Stem 90mm
M part cartridge headset
Bontrager race light bars
Tioga inline post
deore rear mech
Alivo (new) cranks
Deore hubs
Avid 7 rear brake
Thats about all the good bits.

Anyway it should please LGF a little more than my Raleigh who's shed this will be sharing.

Xt front mech wanted to improove the shifting can you help, must be very cheap.

looks good
i derive a lot of satisfaction from cheap spares box builds

Thanks GT-steve, it's the first bike I have ridden in years that actually feels right for me the sizing is spot on.

The run out highlighted a few things, cannock mud eats brake pads the avid 7's pads are shot, also the rear mech jammed up completly the spring seems to be so full of grit that it's holding it in top gear position, the chain also fell off 5 times. Oh and the seat fell off on me but was rectified with an allen key.

Other than that it seemed to work ok
