These are what I am putting on mine. To my (untrained) posh crank eye they look more like the ones in some of the pics.

Great work on the resto Si - leave the dink I think.

If you copy that spec it'll save you sourcing the correct front tyre :lol: :lol: :lol:

Loving this thread, great attention to detail from Dr S as usual and a great resto of an absolutely iconic bike. Can't wait for the next installment :D

wow - what an enjoyable thread. And RS is so helpful - he even shows dead steaddy overview of his old batch productions. This thread is def on my follow list!

I have a old MBA with a testreport of the first alacarte - you need it? - I can scan it...

From what i recal he was always getting punctures (he ran his tyre pressures hard to try and prevent them), i think during that race he got a puncture, fixed it, got another puncture then just threw the tyre and tube away :lol:

Dont think that front rim would have lasted long though.
