Just finished my AMP B4 last night, and now it's bloody raining so can't take it out for a quick spin (it's going to be a dry only bike  )

Couple of things I want to change. First, the seat. I had a red flite but it didn't match the red Ringle bits (it looked orange), I'm not sure about the black Flite, perhaps with a silver post? Second, the chain rings. I really need a red middle (or silver) and a silver outer with red outer chain ring bolts.

So, can I have your opinions please, this is my first effort at a Retro Rebuild, criticism/recommendations appreciated.

Here's the spec sheet:

Frame AMP B4
Fork AMPF3 XC
Headset Rinlge (Slamma Gamma?)
Stem Ringle 135mm aheadstem
Handlebar Answer Hyperlite (uncut)
Grips Onza Porcipaws
Brakes Shimano XT M739 V's
Cantilever cable hangers -
Brake Levers Shimano XT M737 (RF+)
Shifters Shimano XT M737 (RF+ - 8spd)
Front Derailleur Shimano XT M737
Rear Derailleur Shimano XT M737
Cassette Shimano XTR M950 (8spd)
Chain 8spd Sachs Sedis (?)
Cranks Middleburn RS1
Chainrings Pace granny, Middleburn middle and outer
Bottom Bracket Shimano XT M737
Pedals Shimano XT M737
Quick Releases Hope Ti
Rims Mavic 517 SUP Ceramic
Hubs Hope Suspension front, 8spd Ti-Glide rear
Tyres Ritchey Z-Max front and rear (f -1.9: r - 1.7)
Saddle Flite
Seatpost Ringle Moby (Deuce)
Weight Very Light!!! :D (no scales)

Very very very nice!!!

I hope mine looks this good when it's finished! Hmmm red is off my colour scheme choice now though... blue or purple?

ps, The black flite looks spot on IMO.

Sweeet! But you need a red outer ring middleburn of course. Guess what your uncle Al has one in his magic box! Also dump those gash qr s you need the original ones in red. But who on earth would have a set! Only me thats who.

pm me we can talk. Cheers, Al for all your retro desires!

But nothing purvy like.

Love those Forks!
A wonderful thing about AMP bicycles is that they still provide parts and
tech support for owners! Now thats quality service :)
