DBR VERTEX TR 1995

Dylankx250

Dirt Disciple
Hi,
Thought I'd share my MTB that I bought new in 1995. I've kept it so long that it has now become retro! It's in top condition, all original paint and stickers.

Never thought I'd have kept it this long.

I remember when I bought this (16 years ago!) it was between the Vertex and a GT Zasker (my memory jogged by seeing a Zasker posted here). Actually I ordered the Zasker frameset and ended up returning it – I can’t remember what was wrong with it though.

Any other DBR fans out there?

just stumpled accros your thread and must say that I like the bike - very nice and in a good nick

that had been the years, 95-97, when DBR made great / succusfull bikes - remember Hubert Pallhuber World Champion on DBR in 1997

great bike! most feel good to have a bike that long. I still think sometimes, what if I hadn't sold that bike back then?

I still have my 1990 stumpjumper.... hanging in the shed!

Not sure what to do with it, I’ve hardly used it since 1999! In 2007 I put new chain, cassette, cables, tyres and grips on – and have used it about twice since then.

Might turn it in to a commuter barge. Think people will try and steal it or will theifs know that it's old and not worth too much?

Frame looks very similar if not identical to my '94 Diamondback Axis. Got any close ups?
It will be the same frame.

Diamond Back used TT-Lite tubing on several models around these years (94 / 95). Axis, Apex, Vertex TR.
