2010-01 Dunkeld Weight Weenie Build
OK, after chucking some parts at this before Christmas and ending up with a very disappointing 22lb+ bike, a strip down and stricter diet was called for. Pass the laxatives nurse!

Spreadsheet final weight is 19.3 lbs, my bathroom scales say 19lbs - either way pretty happy.

This is for the Dunkeld ride at the end of January - a few of us are weight weenie-ing. I know it won't be competitive with the Alu frames, but I'm enjoying the process.

It won't be a period correct build (hard to resist those £15 44g Ti skewers) - I'm also on a budget so re-using what I have kicking around in the man cave where possible. It's looking like biggest deviation will be a set of V brakes.

Hoping for 19-19.5 lbs. Sub 19 might just be a possibility.

Biggest revelation so far? How much weight you can save with those Flyweight inner tubes - A truly cost-effective way to shave those grams.

Looks pretty light, and removing half the "Wicked" logo was an innovative weight-saving idea!

It might be hard to ride without, you know, a drivetrain and brakes and stuff though. Just sayin'....

I hope the 15BP skewers don't save you some more weight, teeth-wise.
Aye, website says they are MTB specific, so they should be OK.

Fit the Vs and saw off the canti hanger on the seat stays and that's more weight saved.

EDIT: for those that need an indication of when someone is being sarcastic ;)
