I bought this 16” 1992 GT Avalanche as a gift for the Mrs. I’ve Only just got round to stripping, degreasing, cleaning and fettling. I’m pleased with the outcome and I hope she’s over the moon too…….It must be love!

It’s almost factory specification except for the period correct DX seat post, ’94 Ritchey vector saddle and Ritchey Zmax Megabite amber wall tyres.

It still has the JE James (Sheffield) stockist sticker. I spent many Saturday afternoon as a young’un fondling the bikes in that shop and I may I have pawed this Avalanche in the hope of owning it one day. As I side note, it was the only time I ventured on to bum-hole lane as I walked past SUFC holding by nose. :D

Hope you like it.

Wow that really is a minter, like it came out of the shop yesterday.

I hope your other half likes it, I wish I could get my wife into bikes. She rides my old GT on the odd occasion and generally falls off. I wouldn't let her near it if was half as nice as yours!

Awesome.

Looks like an 18" though?

Purely personal pref but I think I'd like a black seatpost. Super clean look already though
