Well here it is back from its repair and paint. The top tube needed to be replaced which was the reason why it was sidelined eight years ago.
I was on a trip to Moab and the shop in Fruita placed old reto bikes in amongst the new items. I thought wow there is my old steed maybe i should get it back together......soon found Retro Bike.

The forks are Nos and have never been cut. Was reading the "How to cut your steerer" on the other thread very closley today.
The stem and bar are a riveted single unit job that I found in Germany.

That is gonna look so cool built up! seeing this reminds me that I really must get the Bonty forks I found fitted to my Race

The master plan is to do it with just M730-35 as it would have been done at the time. The frame is sus corrected but the fork not, so am looking into getting a spacer put in to lengthen the axle to crown (probably just 1.5-2 cm)
Got some Bonty hoops through the site, just need to get them built up and we will be almost there.

Got the Bonty (sorry Bontrager) Red and Blue Spots laced and shod.
Also got the controlls ready to go.
