Yeah possible I think it just needs recoverng but I don't know if that is feasible or cost-effective?

You are right it is a 96. You can tell by the chainstays and the decals.

I have 95 & 96 versions.

lol, just looking at this thread has answered a question that has been bugging me, as in it's a 96 not a 95.

Will post pics as soon as I give it a clean, it's used every day to and from work (30mile round trip) so most of the time looks very sorry for herself.
