Not quite superlight territory of 21.5lbs but everything is period correct.
Nothing on there later than 91 I think.
I have posted bike up before but I've changed a few things and
here it is finished .
Any sugestions on how to shed a few gms while keeping it period correct
would be well received.

The XS size looks very cool, looks in very good condition with no chainsuck, bar doesn't look like it has been cut down by much.

I think it is a 1991 / 1992 model as it has the rounded shouldered fork and the white backgroung behind the Klein decals.

Is the Megabyte tyre on the front the wrong way round? I always cross the gear cable tubes inside the frame; this stops the gear cables from rubbing the paint off the headtube. Grab-on grips will save a few grams and are always my fave upgrade

Have fun riding it, they are great bikes...

Edit: Make sure the seatpost length is inserted well below the top tube and is not a super light weight model as these frames can crack from the bottom of the seat tube slot (like mine) The old Klein importer did not recommend using a Ringle post for example; they recommend a Shannon setpost to me.

22.2 lbs is light enough for any hardtail.

That bike is my 'holy grail'....you are very lucky owning one :D

Wow, that is light.
Think you will struggle to get the weight much lower but I'd consider possible alternatives for:
QR skewers
seatpost
tubes and or tyres

Plus any more scope for lightweight bolts ?
Also, probably rare as hen's teeth now but I'm sure I remember there being Ti-pedal axle kits back in the day for both xc-pro and deore-xt.

Thanks for the input
Klein claimed a weight of 21.5lbs for their superlight package
back in the day, don't forget this 91 so its only the very beginning of the
cnc exotica market,so not many choices out there.
grafton had their original speed controlers and pedals .
I could have used xc pro seatpost but they are not long enough.
Xc pro pedals did have a ti axle option but I reckon they are as rare as
rocking horse poo
Could use ti ringle qrs but I think they were a year later.
lighter tyres and tubes are next
Any one know weights for 91 tyre options?

Nice bike ;)

and thanks for reminding about Revolution cycles having also bought my first mtb from there bitd, and the odd windsurf bits. Totally forgot the name of the place! It was a cool shop in it's day :)
