went out to the shed today to find some bar end plugs
ended up building this

a 96/7 generic GT frame
USE ea 60 forks
pulstar wheels ( built with "rustless spokes" ) from the spares box
deore/avid vee brakes
GT stem
pace bars
unknown shimano chainset ,the sort that needs a 122 b/b
xt/lx mechs and gripshift shifters
generally a it fits so it'll do build

I have seen lads half your age toiling contort themselves onto a bike like that

(me being one of them)

Sort the saddle angle, get some decals on the frame, get matching brakes, get matching tyres and that would be a nice ride. You have yourself a good starting point.

Forks are lovely, have always liked USE.

saddles fine ,looks odd tho
tyres are to be done
and the brakes are just what i had
got some cantis i need to refurbish and fit
