I've had this sitting around for a while and decided to start preping the frame for powder coat/spraying.
I think the original paint is quite faded as it is alot lighter than the bike in the catalogue picture.
I intend to do 'a proper job' on this one :D

I'm looking foward to your build. Marin Cycles taking over Retrobike.
I guess the misses is not very amused that the build started on the dinner table ;)

Looks like a 90' to me......decals weren't colour coded to the forks, stem, bars, etc.......

Had a 90 Team Marin back in the day....was well nice....

Good luck with the build...will be following it.... ;) :)

A different model but this is a 90 for comparison :

WD :)

A friend of mine went out and bought one of these the exact same time I bought my 1990 Cromega, so yeah definitely a '90. One I really liked too both then and now ;) ;) so looking forward to watching this.

Are you planning on recreating the sandpaper-esque Zolatone 2000 finish?

I'm also on the look out for a '90 Team but I think they must have all turned to mince as none turn up :(

Watching this bike with interest Granny as I love the early '90's Zolatone Marins.
