1993 Scott Tacoma

I've just purchased this bike today for 90 GBP I guess it's from '93 but a bit confused as "sports" series was not built with XT set... Does anybody have any info? I could not find it in any catalogue. Tange DB (rear stays 969), full M735 in VGC so I’m very happy

Big boy (size 20,5) would swap the frameset for a 17 or 18.

It's 100% year 1993 - all graphics are correct (especially signatures "sport series" and size graphic on seat tube - this shape was only in 93)
Sometimes sports series had a XT stuff model, fex in 95 Yucatan

I've seen this model few times (it's quite rare!), and it always was on XT M73X - probably it was highest model in sports hierarchy Probably it had Windriver frame (double butted tange MTB cr-mo main tubes and 696 extra strong double butted rear triangle), AT3 bar and SRP 2 Superlite fork

Bigest difference between Windriver was probably XT stuff, I don't have any info about rims, tyres and seatpost/saddle (but in Windriver and Boulder had the same - made by Ritchey)

Not much, and many "probably", but always something more infos

One more thing: it's not a limited dealers version - they had always "pro" in model name and using racing, sometimes performance frames
Maybe it,s some special make up for some country?

It's in POlish catalogue "Bikes of the World 93"
Catalogue use official materials, but shows also shops offer
And here is Yours Tacoma - with full XT M73X as Yours, top model of Sport Series
And look for price - it's in DM in Polish catalogue - maybe Tacoma was sold as special make up for Germany?
