Re:

Fitted up the mavic wheelset or a mock up the other day and found the ritchey z-max 2.1's were just a tad too wide, guess that this was built to accommodate the earlier slimmer mountain bike tyres of the day or just a road bike builder rookie mistake ..... who knows? So Today I took some megabite 1.95's off my Bromwich, it was the best solution as nice amberwalls are becoming a hard find or hard on the wallet and the Bromwich was made with a better clearance on the rear stays.

It may be obvious my choice of groupset now.....

That looks awesome! I live the colour combo....

Might get me some pink Grips for my DB ascent EX build...

What grips are they?

What seatpost you using in that pic? I thought you were fitting the Deore XT ?

Re:

The grips are cassano, I remember them being advertised in the back of mbuk when the flouro colours were all the rage, if I can get some hot pink Tioga biogrips I would be happier but these will do for now.

The XT seatpost would have been on the cobra if I was going full XT but since I had a change of direction it's found itself on the Orange Formula, the seatpost fitted is a kalloy unit until something nice like a Mavic comes along.
