just bagged an XTR m900 groupset but couldnt do it, XT suits it too well TBH

Yeah, XTR is too ..... modern, to be honest I have some M730 4 finger levers that I feel would be more in keeping, they would pair up with the beartrap pedals well, maybe needs a long cage rear mech too?

only other quarm is the rims, theyre currently araya RX7 but I'm feeling the need for Mavics, annodised would suit better and I have some oxygen M7CD built up with campy hubs at the momeny that I could get built onto XT?

thoughts?
