Dont leave it there! I'll nick it!

My garage is so full of crap bike parts that I never seem to have time to clear out, I don't suppose you could swing by?

But wait a minute.. whilst out riding I bumped into (2m away) a friend in the village, he was complementing me on the Canyon when he stopped in his tracks and exclaimed.. ‘I don’t believe it, I found exactly the same pair of Shimano pedals in a box whilst clearing out my Dads garage last weekend….'

I pointed out mine were SR, not Shimano, but mentioned that if they were PD-MX15’s I’d happily buy them off of him..
Anyway, he’s just dropped them off…..

Legend! He won’t make that mistake again :D

Reached 26.6 mph :shock: :LOL: riding downhill on a chalk/gravel farm track today.....The Canyon took it in its stride... but I needed a sit down and some new underwear when I got home... :facepalm:

You mean they might be suede?

If anyone has been inspired by my build and fancy’s their own trip down an 80’s memory lane, Retrobikeguy has a nice Canyon for sale here;

Just going through a list of little fixes before I start another project...

Found some “Z series” BL-AT50 brake levers a while back and although 2nd place behind the 1st generation Deore XT levers I originally fitted, I think they look the part.. nice shiny lever with embossed Shimano logo and a two bolt clamp that matches the friction thumbies & they are from late 1984 just like the frame.

Of course they didn’t always look this nice 😎

The big chunky all black ‘86 XT levers have found a home on my ‘87 tandem... (that might raise an eyebrow!) 😬
