This '94' Dale has just arrived at its new home :)
Delta V600 in "Diamond Black metallic fade to Cayman teal metallic".

Looks all original to me, except for the suspension seatpost.
Sports the 7-speed Shimano STX SE groupset, LX Rear Mech, Dia-compe 986 canti brakes, and wolber AT-400 "Titanium Light" rims.
Nice :D

First jobs are a good clean and polish, replace the tatty seat, find a better seatpost, and swap the worn out IRC Piranha Pro tyres for something usable.

That stem needs flipping though...

I did wonder about the stem! I noticed the bar clamp bolt went in from the underneath and figured the stem must have been flipped over.

Anyway, I’ll see how I get on this weekend , I’ve given the bike a clean and fitted a suitable seatpost and saddle, and some slightly less worn tyres.
Been having issues with a niggly nerve in my hand (ulnar nerve??) so I’ll be glad of the cushioning headshock up front :)

Re:

Quick ride to the beach this morning, for A 25 year old bike it rides surprisingly well.
I've not ridden a head shock Cannondale before, it was interesting, you could think you're on a rigid bike, the suspension just seems to do it's job without any fuss, and there's none of the flex or brake rub you get with some retro suspension forks.

Also, the 986 cantis (still running the original Coda pads) with the Force 40 rocker are stonking!!

Re:

Small update, I've fitted some 26 x1.95 semi slick tyres for now, I've been using the Bike for short trips to the shops and have noticed a bit of a knocking sound from the Headshock, although it feels and steers Ok, so some investigation may be in order in the near future.

The seatpost was replaced with a basic black alloy one, and I fitted a Flite saddle I had in the spares box. Also fitted a Cannondale bottle cage ive had sitting around for ages (must be fate!) and picked up some cheap Coda SPD pedals as well.

My luggage scales say 25.7 lbs, not too bad for a mostly stock STX equipped hardtail :)
