Amulet Pro-Team Czech vintage bicycle

Amulet Pro-Team 96 or 97, Czech vintage bicycle.
Aluminium frame, steel rigid fork, LX/XT components.

This piece is in very good condition. I think, previous owner had ridden this bike occasionally, a few times in year and mostly in sunny weather. He sold me the bike for 65 EUR.

Plan is to replace Gripshift / Avid levers with Shimano XT shifters / levers. New saddle, tyres, pedals, grips plus remove some needless parts. And then... ride

Looks good and a bargain at 65 EUR. Is the frame made in the Czech Republic?

I guess, the frame is made in Taiwan. Amulet, Author and other Czech brands launched in mid 90's their first collections based on this business model (frames with their brand made and imported from Asia, components mainly Shimano, Ritchey, Kore, Kalloy, TranzX and others...). Our market invented the mountain bike in this era

This frame has label "designed in Czech Republic" so maybe this is not only the catalogue frame from Asian supplier but custom made product (with some nice details).

Brands producing MTB frames made in Czech Rep. started also in 90's - Duratec, Kangaroo, RB and others. Of course iconic titanium frames from Mora Moravia - Morati (except their own brand, they made frames for racing team Sunn). Interesting is also production of some small "garage" welders. I am looking for some frames continuosly

Some modern parts (saddle, tires, grips), everything else is original from ninenties.

I will use this bike just for Sunday rides with some SPDs which will be shared for more bikes. Most of time, it will quietly sleep in the room, where all my bicycles are stored
