Fillet brazed 531 goodness by T J Quick

Fair comment. My other thought was to get some 987's. Campag would be nice but don't really have the budget.

I think they would be fine, you can always change then if something better turns up

I think that's probably what I'll do Nick. Got plenty of other things to spend my money on!

Had a cheeky day off today so made a little progress. Cleaned up the wheels, Mavic MA 40 MB rims laced to XT hubs, and fitted the 1.5" Hardpacks I've had stashed away for such a build. Got a nice pair of non-aero 105 levers from THM so got them on the bars. Starting to come together now and I'm pretty pleased with it thus far.

 Oh Yes!!! Love it :) Looking great, Adrian! Did the tyres go on without too much swearing?!

They did Simon but getting the old dry Megabites off was a different story - and I've got the bloody knuckle to prove it!

Re:

Very very nice Adrian, its looking great.
Loving the drops on it...

I remember putting the continentals on the Lloyd, what a nightmare....took me about two days I think :?

Re:

Thanks Gio, looking forward to riding this one a lot.

I'd hate to have to change a tube on the trails with the MA 40's

Slowly.........
