Are you talking about the XTR reference? Presumably you could position the spindle anywhere (within reason) and just let the loctite do its work? Still going to need the proper tools and that's quite an investment give it's a one off job. :(

On a positive note though I did pick up the wheel yesterday and finished it off this evening; 30 years in the making... IMG_7459.JPG IMG_7458.JPG

Still need to finish the cabling and put the pedals on. Waiting for a canti yoke cable and some shim washers from SJS Cycles but once that's done I'm at a standstill and it goes back into hibernation! :rolleyes: IMG_7488 (2).JPG

nice bike .. #2years later ;)

there was another mountainklein aurora assembled in weimar and beeing alread non-ubrake the mc1 fits nicely alltogether..

The crank has been moved and I've found the chain but still no front hub :rolleyes: . Maybe one day...
