1990 Rocky Mountain Thunderbolt

Re: Re:

Thanks for the comments! :)
I'm really happy how this one turned out!

Have you tried a quality paint cutting compound (not t cut)on the frame to try and "cut" the paint. Red colours are prone to fade but often respond well to cutting.
The frame has a clear coat over the paint, and over the Rocky decals too, so unfortunately I don't think a cutting compound will work in this case.
I did use a light rubbing compound and polish to make the finish a bit shinier.
I'll try to get some more close up pics posted later.

I love the cable stop and little roller for the rear brake
Some of the frame details are similar to the 1990 Blizzard but this Thunderbolt does have a smaller roller which is neater looking. And yes, this frame is all fillet brazed...no welds :D

Thank you Blizz for reaching out to me about this gem. So stoked to add it to my collection! I will take great care of it, and am looking forward to giving it a little tlc over time. Such a beauty, and seemingly original spec overall, according to the RM catalog. Well done Blizz, in reproducing the Syncros package. Hard to argue with this setup, unless you have a problem with recalled forks ;)
