No offence to pace fans, but I couldn't stand it with this fork.

Hey,

A little pic of the bike outside of the garage from the last week end :



I had two little troubles on saturday : the steerer touched the tire and the rear shifting was not so fine with the road hg90 cassette.

I added one bar of pressure to the fork but I should probably put some 1.95 tyres to respect the sunn chaos notice.

The problem of shifting was solved wih an hg93 chain instead of sram pc8--.
 
Hi,

To be a little bite closer to the original maxe comp, I bought a specialités TA titanium bb :



145 g on the balance, but I need a lock ring for the left cup.

I will search a shimano instead of ta. Otherwise I will have to buy a ta tool...
 
Last update on the maxe comp :

The axix titanium BB has now a lockring on the left side : lucky me, it's ok with the cranlk arm :LOL:

I upgraded the bike from 8 speed to 9 speed cassette to gain 40/50 g andadded some m970 shifters and a m901 front dérailleur.




In this configuration, the bike is quite light for a steel L size :cool:

Is this Maxe still alive and kicking?

Anyone know anything about Sunn Excell Comp 1995/96?
 
Yes still alive and mostly finished, Icould add pics if interested.

Sunn with the Excell tubs are very rare, I don't think you could find but who knows...
