Re:

Thanks for the kind words, guys.

I used the 90 spec list as a basis, with a few deviations. The tyres listed are Fisher Fat Trax in 1.9. I haven’t had any success in finding them, and I already had the Ground Controls so it made sense to use them.

Haha, it is a racy position, but probably not as low as it looks in these photos. I’m not quite as tall as you either, I’m about 5’11”.

I finally got out on a ride on the Zinn today. It's definitely a race bike. It's stiff but responsive, and rides better the faster you go. The size is perfect for me too, and the wide bars inspire confidence. There are a couple of small issues I need to resolve though, the brakes squeal a little, and the tyres slip around the rim. You can see in the pics that the valves aren't straight and the logos are no longer aligned with the rim decals. I think I'll put some modern tyres on for serious rides.

Lovely

I might have to change the levers to black or put some black socks over the blades, but thats just me, bike looks very smart regardless.

Interested in the dimensions too considering your size. How long is the top tube and stem?

Mark

The bike is a 19", and the dimensions match the '90 spec sheet below (including the 70/75 angles). The top tube is 22" effective and the stem is 120mm with -10 rise. The bars are 25" wide, which makes up for the top tube being about 0.5" shorter than I generally like.

I know that the Campagnolo mtb parts have a distinctive look that is not to everyone's taste, but I wanted to stick to the same groupset with matching finish. This review bike from a '90 issue of Mountain Biker and the spec list above were the combined inspiration for my build.

As ever, thanks for the comments.

Re:

Simply beautiful, love that you’ve sourced a Campagnolo groupset for it too, well done mate
