Today it paid to check craigslist. Found my Ventana unicorn a 1996 Chiquillo in my size for 40 dollars. Full XT. Blown Rock Shox. So stoked. Already tearing into it. Will be my townie bike. Grocery store runs. Trips I don't feel safe locking up my Chromags at. Hope to get it on some dirt as well.

Is there many RBers out there with old Ventanas? Would love to see some pics.

Cool find! You never see these this side of the pond sadly, certainly not for 40 bucks :shock:

Some images of those welds and the rear triangle would be nice :wink:

Yes, some more pictures would be nice 8) they have lovely welds and i still regret not buying a nos one for sale a couple of years back :facepalm:

Will post some more pics. Changed some parts. Need to change more stuff. Needs a new fork horribly.

I remember that NOS frame, that's what started me on this journey.. That was a specimen. This frame is pretty rough but solid.
