Last week I picked up this beauty from the first owner.
Bought specced like this in '93 but with the '92 frame.
Bit strange but he was sure he bought it like that.
Full XTR, Araya RM 400 pro rims, Syncros post, bars and stem and Mag (30?) forks.
In very good shape, the frame needs some polishing but all the parts are in great shape.
It only needed some proper tires and seat.
I took it for a spin and it rides fine, but feels to big for me unfortunately...
I'd expected 18" to be pretty much spot on, but with an 58 cm top tube I need an 100 mm stem.

Nice one that, Jeroen !
Had my eye on it on Marktplaats too, but you beat me to it.. ;)

So of it keeps feeling too large for you..

Re:

Very nice JD. You might also want to try a zero off set seat post. There are Vintage Syncros posts out there. A black one would look nice on your bike. If you can't find one, a Thomson would keep that vintage look and the Masterpiece would also shave some weight. With the zero off set post, you may not need to shorten up your stem as much.

whats the serial number? As that looks like a 1991 frame, and they weren't really sold as a whole bike, the the build would have been whatever the original owner wanted.
That stem looks pretty long though.
Otherwise looks like a great pickup.

The serial number is 02921392 if I recall correctly. I'm sure the 3rd and 4th are 9 and 2, so would be a '92?
What's the difference between '91 and '92? I checked the '92 catalog and it looked liked mine.

no difference in frame, just the decals so far as I know, the top tube gt all terra decal looks like a 1991 version one. It's an early 1992 (feb) so they may still have been using 91 decals, you never now with that era GT.
