97 Saracen Kili Team

I had problems with the shifters and found braking rather poor compared to later canti's. But maybe I just had a bad mechanic. :)

Looks like it is gonna be cantis :)

I wouldn't put M730 on a bike you intend to ride. :)

I am thinking of putting a modernish groupset on the Saracen (SLX 10 speed) as I love the comfort and performance of post-7 speed groupsets. I started mountainbiking in 1991 and don't have good memories on how older 7 speed groupsets were performing in winter circomstances...
M730/2/5 have never...and I mean never let me down. If maintained its bombproof

+1 it's ace! Looking forward to seeing it come together mate

That's so cool, great score! Always have liked the look of these :)

Nice idea going with cantis as well, I've been eyeing up these but am willing to step back, as they would look ace on this...

They are nice but going with boring old xt m734 cantis.....or dia-compe 987s? Hmmmmm

Re:

A proper sized kili... nice.

Personally wouldn't go cantis but you've made your choice.

Looks a good start. Get some decent wheels and tyres on it.

Thanks...yeah the canti choice is odd but I think its all gonna work ok!
As for wheels...looks like m900/ m261 in dark grey currently. I really want a mate for a lone xt m73?/ ritchey vantage in shiny silver but hay ho.

M730, good strong reliable groupset, and canti,s are more than enough if you take time to set them up :)

I think canti's will suit this build. Looking forward to seeing it with wheels on
