Indeed – you're making very good progress. The black frame & forks are gonna look smart fitted with the orange coloured decals and silver parts – not sure if the purple bling will match...

It's how my mates bike was so the purple stays I'm afraid, one thing I do need to find to take it back one more step to how it was is a USE Seatpost with purple clamp parts. The original was replaced due to a broken clamp many years ago :(

Re: Another new project - Orange Prestige

Well I cracked on last night and now she just needs cableing up but work will get in the way today.

Decided to go with a steerer mounted cable hanger, didn't have one thin enough in the spares box so I raided a BOS a mate gave me. Stem wouldn't come out due to rust so took a hacksaw to it! The rest of the bike minus wheels, pinched for a friends kids bike, will be donated to a bike charity so didn't feel too bad ;)

Prestige looking hot! I'm also quite intrigued with the garaged Mini...

Thanks buddy :D

The Mini is my other love, 1992 Italian job model which due to being run into at a roundabout in 2008 has undergone a total transformation to a MK1 style. 1293cc engine, stage 3 cyclinder head, twin H4 carbs, Moorspeed phase 2 cam, running megaholt, uprated suspension and brakes, 10" wheels, retro look interior. When I finished her (well they are never really finished) I turned to restoring bikes.
