Here's my $50 Kijiji find before and after. Found the bike online near me and nabbed it. Always wanted one as a kid. I stripped it down and sold a bunch of the parts to fund most of the refresh. Might change a few more things ... namely the seat post and the brakes if I can, but its quite nice now. I took it in for the once over at my local shop and the whole store piled around it to get a peak. My tech guy just said to: "Put it away. You'll never have one like this again". I have another set of wheels with "riding tires" ... had to try it. Great bike. Rides amazing.

Very nice bike! Love the colour!

Well done! Now go out and enjoy it!

It's been out a few times. I have a set of modern panaracers and other rims I use. Its really is a good ride. The new tires make a big difference ... Tires have come along way. I have been stock piling skinwall vintage tires, but I always chicken out of using them.

Very nice mate, I also had a 92 S Works bitd as my first race bike, best hard tail I ever owned!

Just picked up a 93 stumpy and can't wait to build it :D

Thanks guys.

If anyone has a really nice or nos 26.8 Control Tech seatpost I would be interested. I'd like to finish the bike off with one of those.
