Bomber Rod new build

OSMojo

Old School Hero
It's been a while since I've been on, moved house etc. Anyway, I need a local shopper bike. So I bought a Raleigh Bomber a few minutes ago.

The plan is to get it looking like a klunker, rat rod, BMX cruiser,
I'd like to get it near to the phillips Speed Track (photo at bottom) as they have identical frame styles. On that point does anyone know a skanky way of getting truss rods for the forks without buying them vintage from the USA? I mean is there a way to make them?
I'll add some wide motocross bars and a few other tweaks. I'll take off the mudguards and fat tyres.

Will keep post open with progress.

Did those truss stays actually give any extra strength do you think or was it just for the Americana look ?

I'd say they would have helped, but probably mainly for the look, certainly is in my case.

Some of the bits I am putting on.
Hopefully the tops of these will go on the double stem base without any problems.

As for tyres, these Goodyear replicas
