1993 Fillet Brazed Curtlo Mountaineer - Done

Re:

All the repairs are done and it's time to pick a colour or colours - what looks good with 3dv .... hmmmm

Re: 1993 Fillet Brazed Curtlo Mountaineer - Lean'n 3dv???

I think the stock periwinkle is a good color for pairing with 3DV.

Re:

That's Curtiss' favourite colour as well :)

I like it, maybe whole or in a fade. Maybe something like the grey-scale fade Shades did, or a pearl color like the Grove Titanium.

I have got a lot of purple to go on it so it should be plenty tarty.

I like the paint sceme with blue front end and creme and color spots on the previous page. Original color front, grey rear with aubergine and purple spots?

Looks like you're going with the rigid fork! What's the proposed build spec?

As it were, I just bought back my ActionTec Curtlo I liked it so much.

It's a suspension adjusted rigid. It seemed pretty good on the mock up.

XTR M900/Avid/TNT setup.

Sounds legit.

I have read somewhere that Curtlo disagreed about suspension adjusted geometries and he only made classic geometries, except for ActionTec which were very high…

I don't know. This one is adjusted for sure and it had a Manitou on it originally, not the action tec fork. I'll see how the rigid goes. The fall back plan is a Manitou 2.
