Serena Brescia Columbus OR from the late 1980's. Its beautifully built.

Cleaning and thinking about parts to build this up for the spring.

It's got to be Campagnolo for me. I've never really got Italian bikes with Shimano.

I was hoping you were going to say that, good lad.

Re:

And here is its road bike stablemate in Columbus SLX and with an ingenious cable routing for the rear derailleur. Piero liked Ferrari red didn't he.

Is it the same routing on the rear as a Chesini X Uno - round the BB inside the frame and through the chainstay? I have set one of those up before, it was a pain!

Love the curved stays on the MTB frame too.

Re:

Yes it's the same routing as the Chesini and a few others I think. I wonder who thought of it first?
I'm really looking forward to installing the cables.

I have a Serena, bought used in Brescia in 1985, and its now pitted, and I'd like to restore it and sell it on as I don't use it any longer. Was wondering if you could advise more about Serena, where you got the decals, and what it night be worth, it has Campagnolo components on it.
