Ribble bike build.

You have a good eye for a starting point, its a very nice looking frame
Thanks. When I saw the frame, it really appealed to me.
As soon as the new steerer for the rc30 fork turns up, I can start assembling the bike.

Re:

The steerer tube arrived today so I fitted the fork to see what it looks like.
I really think this fork suits the frame, and I have always had a thing for everything pace.
Just need to sort out the headset spacers then cut the steerer to the right Length.
I have an xt rear mech and seatpost clamp and seatpost ordered.
And this bike will be perfect for my trusty brooks saddle.
Happy with progress.

Re:

Small update.
Found these nice tektro brake levers. Managed to remove most of the red ano off them.
And my very favourite xt thumbshifters.
This feels very light at the moment.
Should be a very light and agile machine once finished.
Jeff.

Re:

Slight thread hijack...

After Purchasing this frame and forks, seat post and bars from Videojetman (thanks) at Easter, I have been building it up and finally took it for its maiden voyage last night.

The "ribble" rode beautifully, light and agile, although long.......

I had to use a modern seat, grips and pedals for the moment as I don't have enough spares, but the rest of the spec is
XTR M900/910 group set, cranks, mechs, cantis, shifters
Xt M737 hubs on D521 rims.

I think the colour scheme suits the frame and forks. some small splash of colour will inevitably creep in as I change bits.

The noise of small stones pinging off the Ultralight tubing was nice to hear on an otherwise silent ride.

The bike has been build to ride, so will be present at the next retrobike ride I can attend. In the meantime, if anyone can shed any light on what exactly the frame is, I would be grateful, as any google searches I do seem to come straight back to this same frame, here on the site.

Cheers, Rich
