Re: Tim Gould Schwinn homage build

Great to see you have the frame and you can start the build process ! Frame size and weight now that you removed bb?

Re:

18", the weight I mentioned earlier (edited post after removing the BB) - 1.9kg with the headset cups still mounted.

(Edit) Now removed the cups, and it's dropped down to 1.8kg

Re:

Just clocked the Clark Kent reference on the forks

Do you know what their involvement was ?

And without wishing to come across as a smart arse, how can you badge something a Uni Shock when there's clearly TWO legs not one :|
Find that a bit bizarre

Re: Tim Gould Schwinn homage build

Are you sure about the size? Because catalogue says that they were available in 17, 19 and 21 inches...

Possibly a portmanteau word.
Unicrown fork with a shock.
Unishock.

Re: Tim Gould Schwinn homage build

Was a tad unsure - I need to throw some wheels on it this weekend so it sits as it should, and then measure it properly

Had to Google the meaning of "Portmanteau"

your also right the stantions/crown are of one piece construction, obvious now I look at them

still interested to know how or why the Clark Kent tie up came about

Re: Tim Gould Schwinn homage build

Döö - I'm so used to sloping top-tubed bikes (ALL retro bikes I have owned have had that) I was thinking I needed to compensate

It's a 17" , so pretty close in size to my D.O.G.S.
