77 Redline Non Gusset Proline.

COUPES

Retro Guru
In 1977 Redline decided it needed a Pro frame and came up with the idea of building a 19.5" top tube frame. Calling it the Proline.
The first bikes built were made in 2-3 months in early 77. 5" headtube all chromoly frames.
Frames started to come back with cracks in the welds so Redline came up with the idea of welding in two small gussets on the head to down tube for strength.
Around 30 were made. This one being 8 of 9 known now to exist.
Saw it on Facebook and contacted the seller and deal done.
It's been powdercoated by Chip at C4 Labs in the states. Checked for alignment and welds ok.
Started getting parts for it slowly and finally built it and a 76 squareback for RAD 17.

Parts are..
Proline bars and stem.
Oury grips
Tange headset
Weinmann 20 x 2.125 rims
Shimano MX coaster hubs
LHR tyres
Cycle pro 12g spokes
Cinelli Unicantor saddle
Red fluted seatpost
Cook Bros copy seat clamp
Ashtabula 7.5" crank
52T Addicks swiss cheese chainring
Mongoose bottom bracket
Repop pads at the moment.

Will change some stuff on it but stoked to have it.
