On the 14th March, Simon Curtis (a very good friend of mine) sets out on a round Britain coastal challenge raising money for Ovarian Cancer Research.
Simon is not an ex-pro/elite racer or cat 1 roadie, he's just an average bloke who has decided to try and raise a bit of money for this charity after the tragic loss of his mother to this very diease.
The ride is called 'Cycle the Lights' as he is going via lighthouses - there is a list of the ones he's visiting on his website: http://www.cyclethelights.co.uk/
-- total distance is expected to be 6000+ miles.
There will be a live map on the website showing where he actually is in real time.
So if anyone has a spare hour, day or even a cup of tea then look out for him. I know he would appreciate a bit of company so if anyone on here that lives in a coastal location and fancies a bit of a ride out then look up his location on the map and tag along for a while. He's also running a Twitter page.
