I'm in for the 'social gathering and ride with fellow singlespeeders'
Invite received and paid for :D
Like Velo I am not quite sure whether I will be riding the old Stumpy singlespeed or something more updated.
Either way it should be a blast and looking forward to meeting up with everyone.
Cab, I take it your riding fixie again this year?

Cheers
Jamie

Damn right I am! This is so local, I'm almost tempted to ride over (just need a lighter tent). Well looking forward to it.

Cab, you got any tips for fixed XC, tempted to give it another go and keep you company on the day

I've got all the kit needed to build a rigid 69er fixie mtb and I have tried it at Glentress but found downhill well scary

Get the skid down before the log (so your pedals are in the right place!).
You can use a higher gear fixed than SS (61" vs 52" in my case).
I was never much good at DH anyway (I may walk sections).
Give it a go, it's a blast!

Ridden fixed off road for several weeks now so may well give it a go on the day. Cant do skids though so I suspect I should practice cyclo cross style mounts and dismounts as being on the bike much might not happen
Only plan to get around course the once just for the laugh of it

MacRetro are fielding Jamie Dyer, ZigZag and Velo (me). Whats the other regional representation ?
