Looks like the weather might not be too bad after all :)

Forecast for Dorking tomorrow from the Beeb website

Cloudy but dry
Maximum temp 12°C
Wind Northerly 14mph
Visibility moderate.

Retro bikes are still in bits so I'm going modern. :(

Sorting out some suitable retro rags :)

Cannondale Fleece from 1993
Freestyle Classic Goretex (BMBF issue) 1994
Giro Hammerhead 1998 (I MUST buy a new helmet)!
Think I've still got some Syncros socks I bought at the Plymouth World Cup in 1995 or 96 somewhere?

Rider definately retro :D

Only one more sleep to go! :)

I remember we usually gave an award for the best Parking lot patter: "Havn't been on the bike for ages/got drunk last night/lets just do easy ride" ect ect. The patter allways came from the guy who then initiated a hammer-fest.
Can see we have to change the award to best blogging babbler.

Ooops forgot to say I have not been ridding for ages and hop that this is just going to be an easy ride. Probably going out tonight as well so will have sore head and dehydration.

Sorry to say I'm confined to barracks this weekend. I could blame many people from my brother (to whom I've lent my car) to my daughter who's just too cute for me to leave for the day.

Particularly gutted as I'm the fittest I've ever been and had dusted off my single-speed penny farthing and put some slicks on her to float over the chalky North Downs. You should try it!

Some of the above may not be true .... I'll think of you lot when I'm inside eating cake and (Gore-Tex) biscuits (remember those?)

Applying reverse logic to this theory

I have been on a strict calorie controlled macro-biotic diet.

I drink only natural spring water

I have been out on the bike every day for the last month

So I should definately be at the back!

Oh! I forgot to add:

I'm lying through my teeth (apart from the bit about being at the back)

Actually, is anyone claiming to be fit?
