Dr S

Old School Grand Master
Next up on the NE&Yorks calender is a run around some of the off piste sections of Dalby before heading over the moors toward Langdale Forest. Here we take an hours lunch break to watch one of the fastest stages of the Retro-tastic RAC historic rally. See the cars and stars of the past up close and flat out including Lotus Cortinas, Escort RS, Porsches, Datsuns, Lancia Stratos, SAAB etc. Our return leg will take us back up through the Riggs & Dales section of Dalby for a mid afternoon finish at the Cafe.

All welcome. Meet Adderstone car park (bike park) at 9:30 SHARP!! for a 10 am start. Breakfast in usual Pickering spot at 8am for the early risers.

R.A.C. Rally unseeded entry list as of 25-10 here...

Might be able to book time off work for this Si, but if I do it clashes with the Real Ale Wobble. So, I guess I have a choice between Rally cars and Ale :? Any thoughts?

Tricky one Mark. Usually combine Rallying with a few ales anyhow. The Kielder Marathon put me off competetive cycling over long distances so personally I would choose a bimble and a spot of retro rallying with the good guys n gals of the NE posse. Also will be handy to have a look at who I will be up against next season as I'm having another crack at the Historic Championship next year. On the other hand the Wobble should be a good craic too. Toss a coin for it?

Breakfast, Bikes & Rally cars....

I'd better book time off work for this one, don't want work to feck about with the shift pattern again & end up missing this one.

Edit: ooh, this is my 1000th post!

This sounds awesome! Any idea about a finishing time (got a B-day in Leeds at around 8:00pm)? If it's not too late - I'm in!
