OWMTBC09 - pictures and story - old world MTB championships

Yesterday, September 5th 2009, the first Old World Mountain Bike Championship were held in the woods of Schoorl (near Bergen), Netherlands.

I'll start with the first pictures:

Here's Jeroen on his old Specialized:

Extra points for his retro helmet!

Before the start every racer was judged on originality of the bike and outfit.
You could earn extra points with pre '96 pedals, skinwalls, thumbies and rigid was extra too. Extra points for canti's as well.
The one guy with 6 speed even got a special remark with his points (Gee, 6 speed!).

Not competing, probably to nice to get dirty

Bytheway, why did no one bring an old Klein Attitude or Adroit? Did not see any Yeti either....
