With this number of people coming I'd guess one of the car parks would be the best bet – you can only fit a couple of cars in those usefully hidden away places.

Could I, perhaps, suggest Lydeard Hill car park?

It's at the Taunton end and reasonably easily accessible from any direction people may be coming from.

This puts you on the ridge top and you're on tracks straight out of the gate.

10am sounds OK to me, but then I'm local – how do those with further to travel feel about start times??

If we want to get in a good 4hrs or so of riding plus pub we can't start too late :D

I know a better pub than The Plough, The Blue Ball in Triscombe, need to check what time it opens though. 8)
