I bought a Marin Hawk Hill from the tip for £4. My Dad quipped, "there's nothing wrong with that, you could ride it Land's End to John O'Groats'. After I'd fitted a pannier rack to it, it occurred to me that I could indeed take it on a budget tour.... I got a tent for £3 from the tip too!
Anyone else up for a weekend mini-tour on crappy bikes? I'm Woking based. I thought the Downs Link would be good off-road adventure.

Camping looks expensive, but Littlehampton YHA is cheap.
Other options would be the New Forest or maybe a ride along the Basingstoke canal.
