Three days in Afan on a hired hardtail. Riding rigid there is not good for my hands as I've found in previous years...

Friday afternoon - The Wall (23km)
Saturday - Penhydd (16km), White's Level with black run (15km)
Sunday morning - White's Level with black run again (15km)

All without the use of granny ring, though a 32 middle ring is a bit smaller than I'm used to. The climb up from the Glyncorrwg centre was enjoyable.

Lots of mechanical problems on various bikes in the group but thankfully no injuries. We did see someone get airlifted away after apparently breaking his elbow, but there were lots of people with silly downhill bikes and body armour around who probably take more risks than we did.
