A huge thank you to everyone that came today and rode in the glorious weather around derwent and ladybower. Trails weren't as bad as we'd thought they'd be and we did more than planned. We even had lunch before 2.30!!!!!!!!!!! And Pete got to the ride before 10am!!!!

I'll add more of a write up when I sorted and watered and got pics sorted.

Cheers

Chris

Re:

Top day, thanks to the organisers, guides and gate holders for making it such a top event.

So what was learn't today....

- Retrobike rides are as popular as ever.
- Pete can arrive in good time, but still delay the start.
- Wheels don't need a full compliment of spokes.
- Heathy's 'don't climb on cheese' rule is just as relevant today as it was 7 years ago.
- Carl can hold a shit in for a full day.
- Thanks to online computer gaming, Martin's 'Big Ringing' has gone worldwide.
- Neil piked it.
- Modern bikes are tosh, especially with 'punctureless tyres' (when will they stop listening to the nonsense of the marketing men?).
- According to his wife, Pete's jumping skills are disappointing.
- October is the new August.
- The Retrobike quiz needs reinstating.

Thanks again.
