Hills were a challenge but I managed them all ;) ;)
Been a great day out, back now and on all the right roads
Legs are screaming in pain and my shoes need bining but it's all good.
Thanks for showing us around it was a great route.

Re:

I really enjoyed it. I'm glad I didn't cry off because of the weather.

The bike did me proud but I need to work on my fitness a bit. My legs were shot at the end.

I'm looking forward to seeing pics. I didn't take any myself because I'm lazy!

Thanks for organising it Chris.

Thanks Chris for a good day. Great to meet up again. Apologies for bailing early, simply ran out of time, and just when the sun appeared too.
What a route! Good climb up Cavedale, good climb to the cafe, good climb to the Edge, good climb to Hollins Cross. A testing descent from Hollins, which I failed, although three times over the bars in ten minutes must be a Strava record. Thanks Kaya for getting the Kona off me at OB3.
I missed the Hope Cross section but there's always next time. Remind me to bring front suspension and discs.
All the best
Rob

Re:

Same sentiment, first retroride for me, a total blast from begining to end - and I barely even noticed the rain. Bailed out on quite a few of the trickier climbs and decents but it was still all brillant, Good company too.. nice to meet those who came and I do have some pics that I'll post up.

On the down side, the brake pads on the Univega are completely screwed now and my "waterproof shoes" will never quite be the same again.

Re:

Great ride Longun , nice to meet old faces and some new ones too , only did 1 otb and that wasn't even on the great fun dh bit , didn't do the piccy thing and I'll keep you posted re the "parking outside a marked bay even though the markings aren't there any more " situation .

Re:

Thanks To Chris for organising, and to everyone who made a damp day seem brighter. (a bit).
It is amazing how much dryer thing seemed after 2 hours in the café.

Great climbs, great descents, and a general lack of mechanicals all round.

a few pics for you, ,mainly of the first "Climb", the rest were a little blurred / steamed up.
Rich

Re:

Was a shame to miss this one as I was looking forward to it, but washout at freedom festival in hull on Saturday meant the kids where going on Sunday, which means no car for me.

Nice to see some people out and hope to meet up at some point.

That looks like a nice pretty walk up that climb.
