Strictly unofficial squad of Chorlton Sports Casual Retrobikers have gathered to do the inaugural Hit the North 12hr on July 19th - the motley crew consisting of two of my hard working LBS mechanic chums and a neighbour over the road from me. We'll be aboard retro steeds natch and welcome your support if you are around Heaton Park on July 19th. Hope to have a gazebo up (subject to Malvern Mistral damage checks) which will probably have a Space flag flapping and maybe a BBQ on the go too...

Looks good MrKawasaki. I might pop along to watch and encourage you along. I'd enter myself but no ride at this moment in time.

Are you doing the Rossendale Adrenaline Gateway event in Bacup over the weekend. Looks quality, sad to be missing that too.

Cheers Mark.

I seem to have joined of the Chorlton Sports Casuals Team, using Hit the North as my post typhoid recovery race (and having won a prize for slowest solo singlespeeder at MM I use the term race in it's slackest fashion)

I'll make the effort to attend as a spectator tomorrow. I'll have my camera with me so best 'hanging out of ones own ass' poses please. I'll try and picture anyone riding retro bikes. I'm sure everyone will be too busy racing to meet in person but will post pictures on here.

Good luck to all competitors

Popped along this morning and conditions were bad. Windy and wet with slippery mud on top of hard pack. Had ideas of taking some action picks of the retro riders but with the mud I could'nt tell one bike from another after the first lap. So you'll have to settle witha few bikes i spotted in the paddock.
