Arse - didn't realise there was a chance to show off old bikes at the bristoval... Was laying on the style for all the old time bikes in the SS 12 hour solo class, eventually ending up in 2nd, 5th overall, on my Proflex 955 (I'm guessing it just scrapes as a maybe retrobike?). Worked flawlessley apart from a puncture and a squeaking chain/ring interface from a new chain/old ring until they'd worn in together (about 9 hours in!). Perfect terrain for it - just enough travel to take the sting out of the many bumps and leave me fresh arsed in the morning!
