Thanks for a great ride, I enjoyed every bit, even the hail. Even falling off and getting the forks twisted round so much that the bar end got rammed behind the top tube and gouged loads of paint off my almost pristine Kawasaki. I realise I've got a cracked rib now and the chest clasp on my rucksack is smashed, so that must have been the bike landing on top of me.
Like all peaks rides we got all kinds of weather and Jacobs Ladder is awesome in an impossible kind of way.* I think it sums up everything about Peaks rides for me, fantastic views, big height gain and technical stuff that isn't just restricted to the descents. Fast draining as well so not a complete mud-fest either, although most of Jacob's Ladder looked like a dried up river bed. Wouldn't have been able to manage almost any of the climbs if I hadn't put on bar ends at the last minute and it's not often I'd use a thing like that.
Thanks again, great ride, great company and hope to see you all at the Skipton ride on May 13th.
