Real nice pics - good composition and also love the clear focus on the bikes and blurred background. Cant do this on my digital cam...

Jezza,

you should be able to adjust the apature settings to obtain a shallow depth of field on most compact digital cameras. Usually the 'portrait' setting will do the trick.
