Sorry Mark but I have dibs on all the excuses..... Buggered left wrist, fractured finger, sore knees, overworked, lack of sleep, too many fags, bad diet, serious lack of riding time, modern heavy bike etc etc.

I'm sure I will think of more in the next 24hours.

Sorry pal

I know I know, but it's the only thing I can ride at the moment until I get an op on my limp wrist. Rigid forks are killing me

Have you tried strengthening it in the usual manner? Worked for me, one wrist is fine now :)

will check with google maps and plot what time i will arrive in scotland for.

2 hours from newcastle, and 1 hour from when you get to carter bar to peebles. Watch out for the speed cameras on that road, they fire in both directions. Going via hawick and selkirk is a more fun route with lots a hills, long cameraless straights and tight turns.

Think I will leave around 8am and get to the hub cafe for about 10am for a nosebag there then.
