This is one of those bikes that never should have happened. A doctor in Hawaii bought the frame when he lived in California. Moves to Hawaii never gets around to building it. Lists it on eBay with a poor heading with a Wednesday night closing. Guess who misses the end of the auction...ME...uggh. Destroyed out of the blue I contacted him and said if the deal with the winner should fall through please contact me. He originally listed it as US only and the winner was from Mainland China. He gets back to me and says it's yours for the original 300 it sold for.

This frame had a few decal scratches and chips from being stored over the years but it has great fillets and the port where the internal routed rear brake cable enters the frame flows so well. Great piece of work

Since it's a 91 frame I built it up with mostly Deore XT parts aside from the GT crank arms and Ti Bottom bracket. NOS Araya RM-17's laced to black Deore XT hubs. NS GT Bar, NOS GT Flip Flop stem, Deore XT Brake Levers with lever polished and NOS GT/A'me anatomic grips.

I can't remember when I ever had so much fun building up a bike? Do you have a "build up" you'll never forget? Again, when the frame arrives and you have most of the stuff on the shelf already needed for a memorable build it sure is fun.
