Personally the 1990 GT Team Avalanche was the first GT that I owned. Got it while managing a shop in WI and raced it heavily that year including the Chequamegon Fat Tire Festival. Tange Presitige Concept frame with internal routed rear brake cable. The first year that GT had 1-1/8" oversized head tubes. Full Shimano Deore XT RapidFire push/push group (have since changed to original spec). The then new Araya RM-17 rims. One of which I taco'd while descending an off camber section of wet trail within the first week of riding it. GT Pierced stem, Tioga Prestige seat post and handlebars with the then New GT/A'me anatomical grips. Ritchey MegaByte tires. packaged nicely in another GT special paint..."Blue Widow". Enjoy.
